The top remote and linkage assembly is designed specifically for use with a short (“stumpy”) R380 gearbox and LT230 transfer box. It is based on an original Defender top remote, which has been extended to position the gear levers in their correct, original location.

A Defender R380 or LT77 turret is required in addition to this assembly. Adjustable linkage rods are used to operate high range, low range, and diff lock, providing a significantly more positive and precise gear selection.
